Learning Android

I started to look at android development back in August last year, sadly work commitments prevented me continuing my learning since christmas.

I'm now making an effort to get back on track and hoping to post some tutorials/findings over the next few months.

Opera Mini on Android

I recently installed Opera Mini on my HTC Hero and I can't recommend it enough. So much quicker than the android browser that came with the phone.

Only issue I had was trying to add bookmarks to the favourites view and at first wasn't that keen on the lack on pinch to zoom although after some playing around with double tap zooming think I'm pretty much converted.

In my opinion it's one of the best apps I've seen running on android

PaperVision 3d Example

I've been playing around with Papervision 3D for the first time. It seems pretty easy to pick up and there are number of good resources to help you get up to speed. If you're like me then you'll want to find a working example and pick it apart to see what's going on, there are lots of examples that come with the source code which can be found at;
